As a church planter in downtown Seattle, I can’t count how many times I’ve said to my wife, “I need to make some extra money.”
Ever had that discussion before?
Pastors are under a lot of pressure, investing more hours into the Kingdom than most people realize, and trying to pay their bills at the same time. In many cases, the pastor is not only working to pay his family’s bills but the bills of the church as well.
In some organizations, part-time pastors make up more than 35% of the ministry, while full-time ministry positions are shrinking lower than 64%. I wouldn’t be afraid to guess that statistic is pretty normal across all organizations.
I understand pastors don’t want to be car salesmen. They also don’t want their saints pulling up to McDonald’s and having their pastor take their order. Yet, for years pastors have done what they had to do to make ends meet. I think this is why a lot of pastors throw a lot of money away on MLM and Network Marketing opportunities.
But, what if there was a way to make a supplemental income without working long hours away from your family? What if there was a way to make a supplemental income that didn’t involve selling to your friends or family, or buying expensive “business opportunities?”
There is such a way. Let’s look into it a bit closer…
